...An amazing performance of Hank B Marvin was seen at the concert last night. A sea of glowing faces eagerly watched the amazing brilliance of Hank at his very best and the energy he emitted was remarkable on a perfect night after a scorching day.

Fans formed a massive mosh pit as they swamped to the front with camera's flashing and video camera's rolling continually until the end. Amazing stuff!! The good thing about these concerts is anyone can take videos or cameras along. Many members from our Shadows Music Club of Perth were there and took heaps of shots......... The whole venue at the Supreme Court Gardens was fully packed...... Hank's playing and sound were as good as I've ever heard. The amazing thing is he can get up on stage play and dance around without making a single mistake and make it look so easy. The band backing Hank were brilliant and if you didn't look at them you would say it was The Shadows playing.  The set list was: Wonderful Land; The Savage; Sacha; Nivram; Guitar Tango; Flingel Bunt and Apache.  For the finale Hank an his band played Route 66 and Blue Suede Shoes.

The expectant 5,000 strong Perth crowd await the arrival of  The Hankster!

....Due to the massive crowd numbers Hank had to be rushed off by security after the final number. He did sign autographs and have his photo taken with fans after the sound check, but on the night it was too hectic and he must have been tired after a long week of preparation. I had the honour of working with Hank for the week and had to change his echo's and make sure his clean & overdrive sounds were spot on when he switched from one to the other.    Spike-H -The Shadows music Club, Perth WA

.......... Sitting near the end of the "snake" with the evergreen Hank performing his magic on stage! My good friend and I, another vehement Hank / Shads fan, arrived early enough to find a decent 'spot' and sat through a diverse assortment of preliminary acts (which drove the sound guys crazy!) while we all gave to assist those suffered the force of nature.  The penultimate act was, to my mind, disappointing. Or was it the hype that brought me to expect more? While Larry did truly look and act like the original, I must say that is where the similarity ended. I found his vocal range and control to be sorely lacking, and even on occasions to seem off key.

At last Hank brought the estimated 5,000 crowd to life! His never changing style always shines through! Wonderful Land, then The Savage... Even through the inevitable 'hick-ups' of an ever changing stage, Hank was master of the situation! Sacha and a re-make of Sleepwalk... The long wait on the grass was truly worthwhile! Nivram... Guitar Tango... Flingel Bunt ... Apache. Then the encore that we always demand! Hank launched into what might be described as a 'jam session' on stage. Route 66 and Blue Swede Shoes brought out the wonderful jazz musician in Hank. I side of Hank I have never known. I loved it! We all loved it! I got the strong impression that Hank loved it too!! We left feeling enthralled by the magic of a master entertainer... a key-stone of music. Thank you so very much Hank... we love you !!   Peter.
